The Story Behind Our Name

Ever wondered where "BlüShift Strategy" came from? It's a bit of a cosmic tale.
Our founder Patti has been enthralled with space since childhood (and yes, she might still have an astronaut Cabbage Patch Kid tucked away somewhere!). When it came time to name the company, nothing seemed quite right — until a moment of perfect serendipity.

After weeks of brainstorming with colleagues and trusted friends, Patti found herself flipping through her old college astronomy textbook for inspiration. As if guided by some celestial hand, the book fell open exactly to the page explaining "blueshift."
In astronomy, blueshift happens when light waves compress as an object moves closer to you — shifting toward the blue end of the spectrum. It's like when you hear an ambulance siren get higher in pitch as it races toward you, then lower as it passes by. But in space, this phenomenon reveals something magical: movement, progress, and increasing clarity.

That was it! The perfect metaphor for what we do.
